random pics

everything is going fine here. some of our friends have been moving into new houses so we are starting to accumulate boxes for our upcoming move. i have seen our new house from afar and i dont think it will be done by 31 Oct. oh well, at least i can have everything packed up. =)

Fall Festival 9/22

Yesterday i ran in another 5K race. This one had a fall festival afterwards. Anya got us through the corn maze. They had alot of fun playing in the soybeans and Asia made friends with the goat.

No me nap!

Most of you already know that Asia doesnt like to take naps. It is alot easier to get her to sleep now than it was two months ago. But, at the slight mention of a nap, she starts to deny the inevitable. anyway, i think it is quite cute when she says it.

Anya and Olivia really liked it and you can see behind them, Rachel and Danielle had fun too. =) Shirley told me we had to make silly faces for the camera, so i obliged. i guess roller coaster bring out the kid in everyone.

thanks to aunt chris and uncle howard for taking us to Dorney Park for the PPL company picnic. it was alot of fun. Anya really liked playing with the girls, you will see in the pics. Asia tried two roller coasters, but didnt really like them. one was too loud and the other too bumpy. but she was a trooper and tried. =)

EEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!

this yucky tomato hornworm is killing my tomato plants. but i get to have the last laguh because the white things covering it are wasp eggs that are eating its inside. i cut six of these off of my plants. yuck-o. make sure you look close up to get an idea of the grossness of the situation.

argh, hotels...

we are staying at a comfort suites tonight because we are going to dorney park with aunt chris and uncle howard tomorrow for the PPL company picnic. we went last year and had a lot of fun. fyi, it is hard to get two girls to sleep in the same bed in a hotel. i finally had to put them each in their own bed. which means that i am going to be sleeping with anya tonight since mike cant sleep next to her because she grinds her in her sleep. it actually is quite annoying, but i like sleep enough that i can tune it out. anyway, the phone keeps ringing one time and nothing is there, so i pulled the plugs out. HA, that will show whoever it is that keeps calling. hrmph. i guess i should get some sleep, we have a loooooonnnngggg day tomorrow.

i hope they have a decent breakfast here.

a tiresome job

i just spent almost 2 hours reorganizing our pictures on the computer. i now have yearly folders for pictures of the girls and family and stuff. i still have a whole bunch of 'other' folders. alas, i may as well spend tomorrow getting more organized.

here is a pic from last night. Asia let me braid her hair in 2 braids like Anya's. Anya likes it because it makes her hair wavy the next day, or as she says, bumpy. Asia didnt want her braids to fall out while she slept, so she took them out before bed. Another funny thing, last night asia kept talking in her sleep. she was yelling at anya not to take something from her. i wonder what it was?

I did it!

I read all 7 Harry Potter books in three weeks. some of you may wonder why i would do such a silly thing. well, i started reading and was through 1 and 2 in a reasonable amount of time and then Mike read book 1 and skipped to 7. so there is was for nearly 2 weeks with mike asking me if i had read about this or heard of this name in my reading. so i had no choice but to finish with the books as quick as i could or else risk mike slipping me more about book 7 than i really wanted to know.

all in all the books were very good. i thought the end of the story wrapped up too quickly and the epilogue was a stupid. anyway. later gators.
