Here are some pictures i have taken recently. notice asia isnt in any, she hides when i get the camera out. she was doing really well at skating this week but as soon as i asked to take her picture, she was done.

this is a shot of my flower bed from 4/23. my queen of the night tulips came in beautifully. i think sunday i will plant my strawberry plants. also, on the 3rd, the housing office is giving away free flowers to promote neighborhood beautification. i might just snag some of those as well.

it is way past my bedtime and we are headed to the circus in the afternoon, so ttfn

aaahhhh, summer days

we had our first glimpse of summer today. anya went to school in the morning and once she got home at 11 we spent the rest of the day out side. the kids did some bouncing, we went for a bike ride (anya rode with no training wheels, probably over 1 mile) and we got some sun. it was a beautiful day until i was washing anya's hair and found a tick!
let me tell you, that was an experience. i dont deal well with bugs and neither does anya. that little bugger bit anya right at her hair line on the back of her head. i tried to pull it out without her knowing but it didnt want to come out. so then i called some friends who have experience with ticks to get some advice, but no one answered. when i told anya it was a tick, she freaked out and then asia did too. finally i got it to come out, head and all. thank goodness. now anya keeps saying she sees ticks everywhere. i dont blame her, i had a bad experience a couple years ago too. i guess it is time for nightly tick checks. argh. i hope ohio doesnt have ticks too.

c'est fini

at last after all of my long hours, its done. i mailed the completed yearbook files to the company today. we should get the proof is approx. 2 weeks. a great weight has been lifted off my shoulders. =)
check out my baby...go to http://horenziak.googlepages.com/anyaandasia and click on the links for the yearbook

counting the days...

to help the girls count the days til daddy gets home, we made paper chains. anya made hers into a pattern. we had seven colors and he will be gone a total of 35 days, so we have 5 sets of the patterns. we taped them on the wall by weeks.

my tulips

my tulips are starting to come up. the yellow tulips i got at walmart are coming up first. the black tulips mom got for me in amsterdam are just about there. the very first tulips to come up had red on it. kinda weird. anyway, here is a picture of what is going on now.

Anya's early birthday

Since Mike is going to be gone for anya's birthday, we decided to do a cake while he was home and his parents were here. Anya's is happy about any excuse for a cake =)

=(

Mike left a couple hours ago for Maxwell AFB, Montgomery, Alabama. He is going to SOS (some military training) for 35 days. It was very hard on the girls to see him go. He hasnt gone anywhere for more than a day or two since Asia was a tiny baby. Anyway, just wanted to share before i head off to bed to cuddle the girlies.

sharing the news

We have some good news. Mike is going to go to school at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) located at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. We are going to move in early August. See you all then. I think we will have a party for Asia’s birthday after we arrive. =)

two jobs i am not cut out for...

today i spent all day from 8:30-11:00 and 12:30-3:30 taking pictures for Anya's schools yearbook. i have to say that being a photographer or a elementary teachers are not jobs i could do every day. i am very worn out. asia came with me for the whole thing and spent most of the time walking the halls barefoot. i just hope the pictures i took will work in the yearbook. i would hate to have wasted an entire day.
