the tooth fairy stikes again

Anya lost her 4th tooth! it came out while she was eating a carrot. alot less trauma than the last couple times.

our move

we have dates for our move now... the movers are coming on aug 6&7 and we are leaving this house on the 11th. it is all coming up so quick!

Tooth #3 (15 Jun 08)

this tooth was quite an ordeal. a day long ordeal of anya turning her tooth around and "trying" to pull it out. finally, at 9 o'clock i tied embroidery floss around her tooth and told her to pull. the string ended up around her root and she wouldnt jerk the string hard enough to get it out, so i did it for her. then we had to hunt around for the tooth that flew out of her mouth. she looks like she got beat up with so many teeth missing. her other top one is pretty loose too. i hope that tooth pulling goes a bit smoother. =)

Wing Family Picnic

June 13th, the wing had the annual family picnic. there was food, bouncers, and pony rides. the girls had alot of fun. asia liked going on the bouncy slide, she liked it more if anya and reagan went with her.

Trip to the Zoo

we took a trip to the zoo on June 5th. that was the last day of school for most of the kids, but since anya and reagan were in afternoon kindergarten, they didnt have school. we went with Julie (John and Becca) and Tara (Nathan and Jason). Asia really likes nathan and jason. Nathan is anya's age and i dont think he quite appreciates having a 2 year old with a crush on him. =) asia wouldnt let me take any pics of her, so here is anya and reagan.

tooth #2 (08 Jun 08)

Anya lost her second tooth yesterday. there was quite a bit of drama involved too. i tried to pull it out the night before but she was tramatized by the event. so yesterday when i told her that her tooth was only hanging on by her gums she wouldnt let me near it. so we sat in the kitchen, i held a mirror for her, and she pulled it out. i will get a picture of her tooth hole soon.

Anya's last day

anya's last day of kindergarten was today. i guess that means she is a first grader now. my how the time flies. here is a picture of her, reagan and their teacher mrs. robinson...

here are two pics from the kindergarten trip to cape henlopen beach. we had a good time (except when anya got two splinters in her finger from the pier and another parent and i spent 20 minutes of anya screaming trying to get them out). someone dug a hole and found this crab in the bottom. pretty cool.

some quick updates

not much has happened since mike got home. we have been doing the usual family stuff around here. we did go to pick strawberries one day, those were really good. we also drove to chestertown, md to run in a race. i pushed asia in the 5K and mike pushed anya in the 10 mile. there was a parade afterward which the girls really liked. we got our pool pass to the base pool and have gone a few times. the water is still frigid. i have yet to get a swimsuit on and get in. i do wade in the kiddy pool with asia. last night we had a babysitter come after the girls were asleep and we drove down to Crabby Dick's in Rehoboth Beach, to celebrate our anniversary. the food was good and the menu was highly amusing. for example -- "CRAB BALLS Crabby-Dick’s famous balls with Seaman Sauce." and the specialty drinks had names like "Seymour Dick", "Juan A Dick", "Anita Dick", and "Harry (as a dog) Dick". Mike got to watch the end of the red wings game while we were there, which made him happy. anyway, we are starting to prepare for our upcoming move to ohio. we are looking forward to being able to visit everyone in michigan in about two months or so. =)
