we are preparing for a long trip

Most of you all know that we are flying to michigan for Eric's wedding and Tom and Katie's baby shower. but did you also know how much work it is to leave for a week and a half over the 4th of july. see, the big dilema is what to do with the dog, cat and fish. Most of the people we know are going to be gone on vacation so i couldnt ask anyone to take honey in while we are gone. leaving her in the kennel would be close to $200. so, she is flying home. i am going to pick up her sedatives today. we do have someone to come by and feed the cat and fish. i just hope she can water the garden too because it is growing well.

the morning glories have buds on them and the two pepper plants have teeny tiny peppers growing (even though they dont get any light because all of the other plants dwarf them) the tomatoes are flourishing and the bachleors buttons are blooming quite nicely ( we have 4 different shades of color) sadly, the cosmos are still just green.

gotta run, i will post more before we leave.

everybody do the potty dance...

the girls were in the bath and asia jumped up and said pee pee (it could have been poopy, they sound the same) and i set her on her potty seat and she peed. then back into the bath, and then again... pee pee. so, out she came onto the potty... nothing this time. back into the bath. when she said it a third time i decided this must be a very fun game for babies, but not for mommies.

a little time to myself

Anya is out with Liza Jane at her dress rehersal for her dance recital tomorrow and the babe is sleeping. that means mommy gets some time to do other stuff. i have taken down all of the winter extras (gloves, hats, etc.) and moved all of Asia's shoes into the basket so they are easier for her to get. by the way, asia acquired a slightly new pair of black dress shoes that she insists on wearing everywhere, even in the house. she was quite mad when we made her take them off to eat lunch and nap. i will get a picture shortly.

i also finished my clover project. i wanted to save the clovers that mike, liza jane, and i found. i found a thing to put pictures in that is sort of a hard laminate. you can see in the picture.

i finished the going away presents for liza jane and her brother duncan. we made liza jane a photo album and had a bunch of pictures printed out. anya picked out the buttons to decorate it. we also made her and duncan tote bags with stuff to do in the car. they are leaving tomorrow after her recital. its sad, anya's first best friend is leaving. i think this will be happening alot due to our life style, but that doesnt make it any easier.

one project that is being held up by procrastination is the switching of winter to summer clothes in the dressers. i have their rooms covered in clothes because i keep starting and then getting side tracked. my goal is to have it done before our trip back to michigan.

off to do more projects...

Asia can float, some of the time

We were at the pool last night and Asia decided she wanted to float like Anya. She did a couple time too.

Here is an excerpt from a cookbook from Anya's preschool class...
Macaroni and Cheese with meat
By Anya Horenziak
Boil 1 green box of noodles. Boil in water for a long time. Add a hand full of orange cheddar cheese. Stir for one minute. Put in a whole can of tomatoes. Put in 4 cups of sausage. MIx together for 10 minutes on hot. When it is done put it back on the stove and then the table. Me, Mom, or Asia gives out the food. Eat on a white and black or plain black plate. Drink a half cup of milk. Eat cookie dough ice cream for dessert.

Some of the other recipes we pretty cute too. As soon as the drivers for the printer are installed, i will scan them into a word doc so everyone can download it a peruse at your leisure. you may even want to try on of the delicious recipes on your own. ;o)

oh yea, and Happy Anniversary to US!!
