our house is infected....

our house has puke germs. no one come near. stay away!

it all started late friday night/early sat morning around 4. i was awakened to the yelling of anya and the crying of asia. it appeared that asia had thrown up all over herself and the bed. i quickly put her in the bath and stripped the bed down. after she was all clean, we rejammied her and i made her some make shift covers. then back to bed. that lasted until 7 when i all happened again. this time she hit the wall with her yucky mushroom puke. she slept most of yesterday and threw up a couple of more times. by 6 she was feeling better and ate some spaghetti and a banana. she appears to be all better this morning, she woke me up at 730.

but alas, yesterday anya hardly ate anything and she took a nap too. i dont know if she is getting sick or if she is afraid to eat anything because it might make her sick. we will see how she is today. she already told me she didnt want to take a bath with asia becuse she might get her germs. haha, little does she know that families always share germs. =)

hopefully a good night sleep helps anya feel better.

snow day, HA!

these silly delaware people think 2 inches of snow is a good reason to cancel school. pish posh, sissys i say. so here we are on a not so exciting friday. my dad just left yesterday after a nice visit. he is an exceptional babysitter. asia is warming up to the idea of us not being home all the time. we will see if she does that well with someone she isnt related to. jkjkijkklkljlkkllklk, thank you to asia for that wonderful commentary. anyways, i jsut thought i would post that nothing has been going on here. h656tjjj ta-ta

Happy Valentine's Day

Arent we just too damn cute? =) Grandpa babysat so mike and i could go out to a really nice restaurant by ourselves. they had really cool plates and good food. we had a seafood appetizer for two, i wouldnt touch the tuna, but the spring rolls were great. after that we each had some soup won ton for me and chicken corn chowder for mike. and for our main dish; mike had the chiliean sea bass atop noodles with a seasame ginger sauce (quite reminiscient of korean jap chae) and i had braised short rib ravioli. it was all really good, but i think that it is a once in a great while experience. we did skip the dessert because nothing seemed that special, so i had a peanut butter cup at home.

We rearranged the living room yesterday and we had to unload the kids bookcases to move them. i never realized we had sooooo many book. phew, that was alot of work.

Anya's Firtst Tooth!!

So, it happened. yesterday, I pulled out anya's first baby tooth. it was barely hanging in there and her gums were starting to look sore so we made a command decision. i have to tell you that embroidery floss works better than dental floss for tooth pulling. Anya wasnt upset with the whole situation until she kept spitting out blood. it took a bit for it to stop. now she walks around with her tooth in a tooth necklace. i left a note for the tooth fairy to keep anya's first tooth and when i woke up it was next to my bed. =) this was a big step in parenthood i think.
